Asus is Fixing The Most Annoying Thing With The Upcoming ZenWatch 3
Asus is a clear leader when it comes to Android Wear. In 2016, the company released ZenWatch 2 and it became one of the top sellers thanks to rich features and yet its affordability. Now, Asus is all set to launch another edition called – ZenWatch 3.
So, what do we get from this device?
Well, the good news is that the device has addressed the most pressing issues of every Android Wear devices – poor battery-life.
ZenWatch 3 comes with a battery life of two days! This is a huge upgrade from 2016 when smartwatch comes with just a day’s support. This was a huge let down as people cannot rely on the device during hikings and while traveling to remote areas.
What’s even better is that this device’s battery gets charged very fast. It gets charged up to 60% in just 15 minutes. These two upgrades are a big gift to Android Wear lovers. There’s another feature – you will be able to use an optional battery pack. This may be a bit awkward, but it’s a good option if you are going to rural areas and maybe on a hike to the hills to spend some days where you don’t have power lines.
The ZenWatch 3 also retains the IP67 water resistant. So, you will be able to let your hair down and get under the rain sometimes. Just ensure that you don’t put it down in your bathtub for hours together.
Design-wise, the ZenWatch 3 comes with a freshly round look. This is a huge departure from the garish square look of the earlier models. Now, you also have more choices including the beautiful rose gold.
This smartwatch is also quite slim if you compare with other devices. It is only 10mm thick just a little thicker than the Pebble Round watch. However, it is still thinner than the Apple Watch or the ZenWatch 2. According to Asus, the ZenWatch 3 will be available before the end of 2017. The price will be $230.
