Before you buy a computer game, you should find out whether it will actually run on your computer. This can easily be done online.
Open the website www. systemrequirementslab.com.
Enter the name of the game in the search line or select it from a list. Then click on the button “Can You Run It”. If you use one of the supported browsers (Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer), you can have the hardware of your PC select the same via
“Automatic Detection”.
To do this, you need to give access to Java. This process may last for a few seconds. If the access works, then your hardware specifications will be displayed on the website and compared with those needed for the game. If you receive an
error message then Java is not installed on your PC or is not updated to the latest version.
If you do not use any of the browsers mentioned above, then let the “Desktop App” check your prerequisites. After the installation, the program scans the hardware of your computer and sends the data to the website. Your own hardware specification will now be directly compared with the information.
If you do not trust the web service, then only the system requirements of the game can be displayed via “View Requirements”. Go to the Windows interface and press [Windows] + [R]. Enter “msinfo32” and Windows will
then show all the relevant hardware info about your PC. Compare this with the requirements shown on the website.
