With Windows 10, Microsoft comes with a great support for touchscreen laptop and windows tab. but unfortunately, windows is not providing any direct option to disable touchscreen in your laptop or tablet. But you can easily disable touch screen in Windows 10. I faced the situation where my touchscreen didn’t work properly.
Step-by-step Process to Disable Touch Screen In Windows 10:-
To disable touchscreen in windows 10, Right-click on the Start button and Select the “Device Manager” option.
Now expand the “Human Interface Devices” option and Right-click on the HP-compliant touch screen option a
and click on the “Disable“. That’s it.
If you again want’s to enable, again right-click on the start menu > Device manager and expand the “Human Interface Devices” option and Right-click on the “HP-compliant touch screen” option and click on the “Enable“. That’s it.
Fix a troublesome touchscreen
A few other people have reported this problem, and they have found some strange solutions. One person discovered that pressing Windows+P and selecting Duplicate followed by ‘PC screen only’ solved the problem.
Someone else found that the bezel surrounding the screen was causing the problem. They placed a suction cup next to the circle and pulled the bezel away from the screenatiny bit, which fixed it.
Someone else switched off the laptop and cleaned the screen. Apparently, it was caused by dirt. Another possible fix is to open Windows Settings, click ‘Ease of Access’, select ‘Other options’ and turn off ‘Touch feedback’.
