LG has created the first fridge to integrate Amazon’s personal digital assistant, Alexa, which lets you order food and play music using your voice. But that’s not all it does:
Alexa can talk you through a recipe and let you know when your food is nearing its expiration date, too. The fridge also comes with a 29in touchscreen that you can double-tap to see what’s inside.

Do I really need one?
If you own an Amazon Echo, then you already have access to many of ThinQ’s capabilities. And if you really need to know what’s in your fridge, it’s quicker to open the door.
However, alerting you to when your food is about to go off saves having to rummage around checking the dates on food packaging.
