5 Most popular RPG games:-
RPG stands for Role-Playing Game, which I’m sure you already knew. These are the fantasy games that are often so good, that they make you completely forget about reality. All that matters is completing another quest, clearing up another dungeon, and defeating yet another boss at the end of it all.
These are the games that allow you to play in whatever way you see fit, which is why they are called role-playing games. You are free to roam the world, pick your class, your style, and do pretty much whatever you want. And yes, they all have their main stories, but the important part is that they allow you to step away from it if that is what you wish. They are rich with side quests, stories, and history, as well as amazing NPCs that all have a story to tell or a problem that you might want to solve. So, here are some of the best RPGs of all time, and ones that you should definitely explore if you have some time to spare.
Here are the Most popular RPG games
The Fall Out series is an amazing game set in an alternate reality, in a not-so-distant future, where the world is basically a post-apocalyptic wasteland. Humans managed to survive a nuclear holocaust by hiding in a set of bunkers called the vaults. In the first game, you play as a VVault-dweller, who is new to the outside world and has his own mission to accomplish.
In Fall Out 2, however, you are a tribal villager, and you’re not as naive as the first protagonist was. The world of the second installment is also a much larger version. It too has its own storyline that you can follow, but you also get the freedom to roam the world and explore. There are many side-quests for you to do, areas to uncover, and situations to resolve. All in all, it’s a great game, with a very interesting world, great characters, and a lot of shooting going on.
2. Gothic II
Gothic II gives you a large open world to explore, but it also makes you earn the right to do so. For example, strolling away in a wrong direction will quickly put you in harm’s way, and have you fight much tougher opponents. The game doesn’t allow you to roam freely just like that, and instead, you have to work for it and level up.
The game is in medieval style, and it features beautiful surroundings – with rich forests, nice little farms, and a lot of danger. You, as the player, go on a quest to stop an evil army from destroying everything in its path. You need to gather allies, warn the rulers, find ancient artifacts, and more.
The story is pretty interesting, and all the quests will keep you busy for a while. You will definitely find yourself in a lot of different situations, and work hard to figure out how to beat the obstacles in your way. And yes, you get to fight dragons as well.
Of course, I couldn’t make a list of RPG games without mentioning at least one of the TES games. Oblivion is a relatively old game by today’s standards, but still very playable. As always, Bethesda puts you in shackles at the very beginning, and as always, you don’t even know your crime. Soon, however, you get to freedom by trying to help the emperor escape his assassins, and through a tunnel that leads right through your cell, no less.
In the game, you get to choose your class, birth sign, and alike, all of which can serve the purpose of creating some sort of background for your character. Once you’re out, you can either follow the main questline or go out and explore on your own. The enemies will level with you, so there really isn’t much of a difference where you go at the very beginning. If you decide to follow the story, you’ll soon be fighting all kinds of beings that are invading from the realm of a demonic deity set on destroying your world.
Not only that, but you’ll also be the one in charge of closing a lot of the portals that the daedra are using to invade. The story of this game is more than decent, the graphics are pretty good for its time, and the world is extremely large, and allows you to get lost in its wonders without any effort at all.
If you’re a fan of vampires and vampire clan struggles, this is the game that will blow your mind. The atmosphere is perfect for a new creature of the night like yourself, and depending on your pre-game choice, you can become a member of one of the several clans. Each clan has their own set of skills and powers, and their own “thing”, that makes them unique and easily recognizable.
This game is all about choices, which allows you to change the storyline a bit, in accordance with your wishes. So, whether you’re going to creep in the shadows and stalk innocent humans for their blood while looking like a gremlin, or you’re going to charm them with your gentleman looks – it’s up to you. Sucking their blood is necessary either way, but the way you choose to do it is what makes this game special. You will forge new alliances and even get the opportunity to break them. And, based on your choices, the game has multiple different endings.
And yes, there are werewolves in one area. Enjoy!
5. The Witcher
The Witcher is a very popular franchise these days, but it wasn’t always like that. The first game was barely recognized at the time of its creation, but despite this, it is still quite good. The Witcher 2 and 3 have had a much larger budget, of course, which allowed them to improve on graphics and effects, but the first game is just as good when it comes to the plot.
In this game, you take the role of Geralt, the Witcher. He’s a professional monster hunter, who has no memories of his past. At the beginning of the game, he is wounded and in a high fever, and is being treated by his fellow witchers. After an attack on their fort, he is on a quest to find out the truth about the attackers, and uncover their motivations. This leads you to a faraway kingdom that is in all kinds of troubles. I mean, the game could completely lose its main story, and still be amazing.
The kingdom is plagued by diseases and monsters, different factions, and alike. Everyone seems to be in need of help, and you’re the right person for the job. Just try not to do any of that while drunk, since it’s really hard to move in that state.
