In this step, you need to install and activate a WordPress backup plugin which is “Backup Buddy“. There are also some other WordPress plugins available that you can use for this purpose. But I will use Backup buddy because it is the best one.

2. Run a Complete Backup Wizard

After installing navigate the backup buddy from your WordPress dashboard and then click on a complete backup button. Now the plugin will start backing up your WordPress website files, databases, zipping up the files and verifying the backup integrity.

It will take some time backing up your whole website. When the backup is complete then you can download your backup files simply by clicking on “Download Backup File” button.

Saving Data in Remote Destinations

After downloading your website complete backup will be stored safely in a remote storage location. From the backup buddy setting, you can easily configure your own remote storage. You can use Dropbox or google drive for this purpose.

Setup Backup Schedules

The next important thing that you need to do is that you need to set up backup schedules. So after setting up schedules, you don’t need to take your WordPress website backup manually. Backup buddy will take backups for your on regular basis.

Just access your WordPress dashboard and then go to backup buddy settings. Go to schedules and set the time intervals for which you need your website back up. So in this way you can back up your WordPress website very easily within minutes.
