It’s important to ensure your site looks good on a wide range of devices. Google’s new screen emulator, Resizer, lets you preview your site on all sorts of screens, from a mobile phone through to a high-resolution PC display.

Go to https://material.io/resizer/ . Type the address of the website you want to inspect into the grey bar. Your site will open on all three screens, emulating a laptop, tablet and mobile phone. You can click any links to navigate around the sites.

Click the laptop icon. You can resize the site to different laptop and Desktop screen sizes by clicking the numbers in the width bar across the top. A description of the size will give you an idea of the type of screen you’re emulating.

Click the mobile icon to see the site on a mobile device. The bar across the top shows four sizes, which roughly equate to a portrait phone, a landscape phone, a portrait tablet and a landscape tablet. The site shows each screen size with a grey surround to give you an idea of how your site will look on the device.
