Are you ready to command and conquer? I personally love to indulge my medieval fantasies and forge my own kingdoms with empire building strategy games from Age of Empires to Forge of Empires. However, while these are tried and true, I was ready to find something new to try.
I dived into the internet and came across a list of the 10 best empire games on a website called AppGrooves, so I thought I would give some of them a try. I found three that I really love, and now I’m going to share them with you so you don’t have to go on your own hunt for games you are going to love!
Join a Community of Thousands with Dawn of Titans
Dawn of Titans is a great strategy game that you are going to become addicted to, trust me! One of the most impressive features of the game is its top-of-the-line video game graphics and sleek controls. Both its design and the story detail were clearly a top priority for the developers, and you’ll notice that right away. You control thousands of troops in your very own army, and you must come up with a strategy to defeat your titan opponents in real-time. The community seems to be really active and that’s always a good sign for a mobile game.
Because of the game’s advanced graphics, it’s possible you may find the game occasionally takes longer to load. But I guess that’s the cost of having a great graphic design. I just hope the game’s strength doesn’t become its weakness as well. I don’t think it will as it would be a real shame for such a good game.
Upgrade Your Classic Tower Defense Game with Empires and Allies
A more modern twist on classic tower defense games, Empires and Allies lets you build your very own base that you have to defend against an evil terrorist group as well as other online players. Forge alliances and design the perfect army from using some of today’s most terrifying weapons if you want to survive. Similar to Command and Conquer but for your phone, Empires and Allies will keep you riveted as you fight for control of the world against loads of other players!
Like all of the games I’m mentioning in this article, Empires and Allies is free to play, but it can be made much easier by paying for a variety of in-game bonuses – something almost every mobile game has a problem with. These can be a great help to you if you put a lot of time and effort into the game only to have another player win because they bought more bonuses. Just by putting in a little money, you’ll discover that the game is even more competitive and fun!
Dive Into a World of Fantasy with War and Order
If you’re into fantasy, this is the empire game for you. Dive right into a fantasy world filled with orcs, elves, mages, and other fun and innovative magical creatures. In my experience, War and Order is the perfect blend of live-strategy, castle building, and tower defense. Whether you are busy upgrading your towers or vanquishing horrifying monsters, you’ll find that there is always something more to do. Battles are fully animated and the graphics are gorgeous, making the fight scenes something you’ll want to watch again and again!
Solo players keep in mind: if you don’t want to team up with others, you might find yourself at a disadvantage. War and Order rewards alliances, and the allies you join forces with will largely determine your kingdom’s growth rate. You are even able to build castles with other players (thus earning better rewards) that you can’t defend on your own. Luckily, it’s super fun working alongside other players, so there’s definitely a benefit to it!
If you’ve always dreamed of building your very own empire from the ground up, then these games will be right up your alley. I can’t tell you enough how much fun I’ve had playing these empire games, and it’s really all thanks to the AppGrooves list I discovered, which I’ll definitely link below so you can check it out.
I highly recommend you check out at least one of these games (though I definitely think you’ll like all of them) so you can earn the title and live out your dream of being the ultimate lord! Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
